A Study for Youth on Prayer and Praise in the Psalms

Pour Out Your Heart Before Him is a study on the book of Psalms, encouraging students to see God as the trustworthy, covenant-keeping God of Israel, who invites them into a personal relationship with Him through Jesus. Not only does God redeem His children from ultimate destruction, He also walks with them through every difficulty in life with shepherd-like care.

As the youth in this study learn to pour out their hearts to God, lift up their eyes to see His sufficiency, and open their mouths to praise Him, they will find God to be a comfort, refuge, and deliverer, as He turns despair and fear to hope and trust.

In Pour Out Your Heart Before Him, an intentional focus is placed on preparing students for inductive Bible study. Simple Bible study skills are emphasized, and the students are taught how and encouraged to mark the text to help them understand the passage, summarize main ideas, answer questions from the text, look for transition markers, identify logical connections, determine the biblical principle, and more. The Student Notebook is an essential resource for youth to use during the lesson to complete these exercises and practice the skills they are taught.

Customer Testimonials

Patrick

I have been teaching through Pour Out Your Heart this year to our students and simply love it. I think it is my favorite of all the curriculum you all have and we’ve been making a big push at our church to equip our people to not just read but pray through the Psalms to our great God.
