Raising the next generation is difficult enough without cultural confusion about what it means to be a man or a woman. This seminar calls teachers, church leaders, and parents toward a vision of biblical manhood and womanhood, and will challenge us to start training toward masculinity and femininity from the very beginning. We examine particular aspects of confusion addressed by Scripture as specifically faced by boys (pugilism or passivity), or toward girls (aggression or sexual objectification). The discussion seeks to equip parents to recognize problem areas, to encourage patterns of growth, and to break free from cultural stereotypes of masculinity and femininity, which in the end subvert a Christian concept of the glories of manhood and womanhood.
