Creating a Classroom Environment that Declares the Glory of God

Creating a Classroom Environment that Declares the Glory of God

"The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork." Psalm 19:1

How much does a classroom environment actually affect the learning experience? If we are careful to notice, the spaces we enter can bring about feelings of excitement, or stress; restfulness, or fear; curiosity, or indifference; intrigue, or disgust.

Children are most impressionable and, as leaders in children’s ministry we should seriously consider the “greenhouses” in which our children are to grow and learn. We as image-bearers can declare the glory of God (as the heavens do) in our classrooms.

Here are some suggestions for filling our church classrooms with aesthetic beauty as well as the beauty of God’s Word.
